Alex Koon (管進)

Alex Koon obtained his PhD in Biomedical Sciences (specialising in neuroscience) from University of Massachusetts Medical School (US) and completed postdoctoral training at University of Queensland (Australia). His research interest encompass neurodegenerative and neuromuscular disorders, Drosophila neurobiology, synaptic plasticity, and science education. Currently, Alex serves as the Assistant Director of the Cell and Molecular Biology Programme at School of Life Sciences, Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is also an honorary advisor to the Hong Kong Student Association of Neuroscience, a member of the Society for Neuroscience, and hold editorial roles for journals including Discover Education (Springer Nature) - remaining dedicated to advancing both scientific research and education.
