Yusong Guo
Associate professor, Division of Life Science, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
Yusong Guo completed his bachelor and MPhil degrees from Nanjing University and earned his PhD in cell biology from Carnegie Mellon University. He then carried out his postdoctoral research at the Schekman Lab at UC Berkeley. In 2015, Guo joined the Division of Life Science at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), and in 2021, he was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure. Guo's lab focuses on the molecular mechanisms mediating vesicular trafficking in mammalian cells and their roles in disease development.

Since establishing his lab at HKUST, Guo has published many papers as the corresponding author in journals such as PNAS, Nature Plants, and Nature Communications. He has received several awards, including the Early Career Award from the Hong Kong Research Grants Council, the Teaching Award from the School of Science, and the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Programme Faculty Research Award at HKUST.
