Xiaohong Zhuang
Assistant professor, School of Life Sciences, Chinese University of Hong Kong
Xiaohong Zhuang has a BSc from Sun Yat-sen University and a MPhil-PhD from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her research focuses on using plant and green algae systems to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying: 1) autophagy and autophagosome formation; 2) selective autophagy in plant stress responses; and 3) lipid metabolism and membrane dynamics. Her research has been recognised by the 2022 Excellent Young Scientists Fund from the National Natural Sciences Foundation of China, and the 2021–2023 Early Career Scheme (ECS) from the Research Grants Council (RGC).
