Yaning Wang is the Founder and CEO of Rui Ning Kang Pharma. Between 2021 and 2024, he served as CEO of Createrna, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing novel therapeutics for various diseases. Under his leadership, the company raised 500 million RMB during a challenging capital market period and secured multiple billion-dollar licensing deals. Prior to that, he was the Director of the Division of Pharmacometrics at the US FDA, overseeing reviews, research, and policy development across all disease areas. Yaning Wang holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics and a master’s in Statistics from the University of Florida, as well as a master’s in Biochemistry from the National Doping Control Center and a bachelor’s in Pharmacy from Peking University. He is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Florida, Peking University, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Central South University. With over 120 publications and 400 international presentations, he is a recognised expert in drug development and regulation. In 2023, he was named among Washington’s top Healthcare Technology Leaders. He also advises China’s National Medical Products Administration, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and serves as a senior consultant for Shanghai Free Trade Zone Fund and US investment firms.
