Johannes Schropp's PhD thesis was awarded the Airbus Claude Dornier Award. He has received multiple grants, including from the German Research Society (DFG) and the Takeda Pharmaceutical Company. His research focuses on strongly mathematics-based solutions in PK PD; i.e., the computation of optimal dosing regimens, personalised medicine, artificial intelligence solutions in PK PD, delayed pharmacological processes and target mediated drug design. Schropp is also a member of the Mathematical and Computational Sciences Special Interest Group at the International Society of Pharmacometrics.
