Dr Rochelle Flores is currently a senior researcher in the veterinary virology and infectious disease laboratory at Gyeongsang National University. She is a Filipino, with a degree in Veterinary Medicine from University of the Philippines Los Baños. In 2021, she received her PhD in Preventive Veterinary Medicine from the College of Veterinary Medicine, Gyeongsang National University, South Korea. Using a multi-disciplinary approach, her research interests are directed at understanding the host-pathogen interaction in the context of infectious diseases with emphasis on immunobiology, immunopathology, therapeutics, and pathogen virulence and adaptation. Her research group has worked mainly on Riemerella anatipestifer, Eimeria spp., and the Avian Influenza virus.
