Qian Wen is a Ph.D. candidate at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, specialising in the comprehensive study of virus composition, distribution, diversity, function, and evolution within extreme environments, including but not limited to saline lakes, permafrost, deep-sea, and glacial environments. With a keen interest in understanding the intricate dynamics of viruses in extreme habitats, Qian's research aims to unravel the mysteries surrounding viral adaptation and evolution in these challenging ecosystems.
