Angel Wong (黃安琪)
University of Hong Kong
I am an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science and Master of Research degree at the University of Hong Kong intensively majoring in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology and minoring in Chemistry and Biomedical Data Science. My academic focus lies in immunology, virology, and bioinformatics, with a particular interest in, host-virus interactions and virus evolution. I have been actively engaging in internships and research positions, including working as a full-time Science Associate intern at B.Y. Quantitative Medicine Limited, where I analysed large RNAseq datasets and conducted metadata analysis. I have also served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the School of Biomedical Sciences, HKU, and participated in the Summer Research Fellowship program. These experiences enable me to gain proficiency in data analysis, literature research and laboratory experiments. I aspire to pursue a career in virology research. Valuing knowledge exchange and networking opportunities, I enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds.
