Angel Wong (黃安琪)

Angel Wong is an undergraduate student at University of Hong Kong pursuing a bachelor of science and master of research degree, intensively majoring in molecular biology and biotechnology and minoring in chemistry and biomedical data science. Her academic focus lies in immunology, virology, and bioinformatics, with a particular interest in host-virus interactions and viral evolution.
She has been actively engaged in internships and research positions, including working as a full-time science associate intern at B.Y. Quantitative Medicine Limited, where she analysed large RNA-seq datasets and conducted metadata analysis. Angel has also served as an undergraduate research assistant at the School of Biomedical Sciences, HKU, and participated in the Summer Research Fellowship programme. These experiences have enabled her to gain proficiency in data analysis, literature research, and laboratory experiments. She aspires to pursue a career in virology research. Valuing knowledge exchange and networking opportunities, Angel enjoys working with people from diverse backgrounds.
