Rou Xuan Lee
National Environment Agency
Rou Xuan Lee is currently involved in the arbovirus genomics data analytics to gain insights into the molecular epidemiology of arboviruses. This work forms an important part of arbovirus surveillance and risk assessment activities at the Environmental Health Institute (EHI), National Environment Agency, Singapore. Environmental Health Institute is a public health laboratory that aims to conduct surveillance, research and risk assessment on environment-related pathogens and associated vectors.

Her scope of work also includes exploring new methods and technologies to perform advanced phylogenetics analyses to improve understanding on the arbovirus population dynamics and transmission patterns. She hopes to gain valuable knowledge from this workshop that will be useful for the interpretation of genomic surveillance data routinely generated in Singapore. She is also keen to foster collaborations on arbovirus genomic surveillance and research. Lee holds a Bachelor's Degree in Honours in Biological Sciences, which she obtained from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
