My name is Mengting Li, I am working as a Research Assistant in the Leo Group at the School of Public Health, University of Hong Kong. During my academic journey, I developed a keen interest in the field of bioinformatics. Specifically, my research focus revolves around the transmission and evolution of influenza and COVID-19. By leveraging the tools and techniques of bioinformatics, I aim to gain insights into the spread and mutation patterns of these viruses. Understanding their dynamics is crucial in developing effective prevention and control strategies. I am adept at handling large datasets, such as Python and R, and utilising various bioinformatics tools. Apart from my technical skills, I possess strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a passion for scientific inquiry.
