Daryll Hew is currently a graduate master's student in medicine, devoted to exploring innate predictors of vaccine-induced T-cell responses, with plans to develop this thesis into a PhD project. Daryll's academic journey is deeply rooted in biostatistics, which he believes is essential for dissecting complex biological processes. His unique approach integrates comics and data science, adding a creative perspective to traditional analysis and enriching his capability to navigate complex datasets. Daryll is also passionate about applied clinical epidemiology, aiming to link empirical data with tangible health outcomes. This multifaceted range of interests drives his enthusiasm for understanding viral evolution and epidemiology. He sees the summer course at University of Hong Kong as a prime opportunity to expand his knowledge and contribute meaningfully to the field, leveraging a diverse yet interconnected set of skills.
