I am a veterinarian, working since 2017 as a junior veterinary epidemiologist in an Italian Veterinary Public Health Institute (Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie) in the Laboratory of Epidemiology and Risk Analysis in Public Health. I obtained my Master’s degree in 2016 and a 3-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Food Safety in 2020. My work activities include the study of the dynamics of livestock and zoonotic diseases, with a particular focus on avian influenza. My research interests are mostly in quantitative data analysis, statistical modelling, Network analysis, and Species Distribution Models. Since January 2024, I have joined the EPIDESA group in the Interactions Hôtes-Agents Pathogènes joint research unit at the Ecole Veterinaire Nationale de Toulouse (University of Toulouse - France) for my PhD program in phylogenetics, phylodynamics and phylogeography on Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI). My PhD research seeks to address critical gaps in the understanding of HPAI transmission dynamics.
