Sivyi Chhay is a bioinformatics research engineer at the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC), where she mainly collaborates with the Virology Unit on projects involving viral genomics, molecular epidemiology, and sequencing data analysis. Her work includes the genomic analysis of zoonotic and human viruses, as well as the development of bioinformatics pipelines for sequence analysis and data interpretation. She is also involved in implementing computational tools and workflows to support viral surveillance and research activities. Although she recently transitioned into bioinformatics and computational genomics, she has developed a strong interest in phylogenetics, genomic epidemiology, and viral evolutionary analysis. Her long-term goal is to pursue a PhD in viral bioinformatics and molecular epidemiology.
