Kaiyun Tan (谭凯云)

Kaiyun Tan is a master’s student at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Konkuk University, Republic of Korea. Her research focuses on avian influenza viruses, particularly H9N2, with an emphasis on viral evolution and molecular epidemiology. She investigates genetic diversity, phylogenetic relationships, and zoonotic potential to better understand virus adaptation and cross-species transmission. Her work aims to contribute to the surveillance and risk assessment of emerging infectious diseases at the animal–human interface.
