Artem Fadeev is a research fellow in the Laborarory of Molecular Virology in the A.A.Smorodintsev Research Institute of Influenza. His research work contains both wet-lab and analytical activities starting from development of viral whole-genome sequencing protocols to phylogenetic and phylodynamic analysis of obtained data. He is interested in evolution, transmission dynamics and inter-species transmission mechanisms for respiratory viruses, some arboviruses (such as TBEV and OHFV) and also some other viruses such as mpox and HIV. His PhD work is devoted to evolution and adaptation of Influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 during 15 years since the 2009 pandemic.
