Tawatchai Apidechkul

Tawatchai is a public health epidemiologist conducting research in reconstructing health systems to improve the equity in healthcare services for the hill tribe and stateless populations living in border areas of Thailand and Myanmar. He published more than 100 papers in different international journals. Currently, he served as dean of the School of Health Science, Mae Fah Luang University (MFU), Thailand, between 2022 and 2023. He is the founder and director of the Center of Excellence for the Hill tribe Health Research, which works closely with the Ministry of Health and WHO-Thailand. He is also the chair of the Ph.D (Public Health), Epidemiology program at MFU. Currently, he attends the Master of Medical Science in Global Health Delivery at Harvard Medical School. He is also forming a new Ph.D (vaccinology) program at his university and is ready to offer the program in 2025.
