Lara Elize Itao is the current distribution section head of the Philippines' National Vaccine Storage Facility. She holds a Master's in Public Management from the Philippines' top university, Ateneo de Manila University. She is currently completing her Master's degree in Pharmacology at the University of the Philippines. This academic background has allowed her to contribute to the country's National Immunisation and Rabies Prevention and Control Programmes through supply chain management. She is also working with the Philippine Snakebite Initiative, which aims to reduce the burden of snakebites in the country. She has been a member of the Serious Adverse Events Team of the RITM Institutional Review Board and part of the quality assurance team for the WHO Solidarity Vaccine Trial in the Philippines
