Francesca Pantig

Francesca Pantig is a paediatric infectious disease specialist and vaccinologist from the Philippines. She obtained her medical degree from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine in 2011. Specialising in Paediatrics from 2012 to 2015, before pursuing further training in Paediatric Infectious Diseases from 2016 to 2018 at the Philippine General Hospital. She has earned a master's degree in Vaccinology and Drug Development from the Institute for Global Health, University of Siena, Italy, in 2023. Currently, she is an attending physician in Paediatrics and Paediatric Infectious Diseases at the Philippine General Hospital, as well as a visiting consultant across various hospitals in Angeles City, Pampanga. Additionally, she serves as the paediatric residency training officer at the Angeles University Foundation Medical Centre. Her research includes vaccinology, vaccine hesitancy, dengue, COVID-19, and tuberculosis. Building vaccine confidence and trust in the Philippines is both Francesca's passion and key advocacy.
