I am Francesca Mae Tan Pantig, a pediatric infectious disease specialist and vaccinologist from the Philippines. I obtained my medical degree from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine in 2011. I specialized in Pediatrics from 2012 to 2015 and pursued further training in Pediatric Infectious Diseases from 2016 to 2018 from the Philippine General Hospital. I also obtained a Master’s Degree in Vaccinology and Drug Development from the Institute for Global Health, University of Siena, Italy in 2023. At present, I am an attending physician in Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the Philippine General Hospital, and a visiting consultant in various hospitals in Angeles City, Pampanga. I also serve as pediatric residency training officer at the Angeles University Foundation Medical Center. My interests include vaccinology and vaccine hesitancy, dengue, COVID-19, and tuberculosis. Building vaccine confidence and trust in the Philippines is my passion and advocacy.
