Firdaus Kasim
University of Oxford
I am a D.Phil. student at the University of Oxford with a research title "Modelling Vaccine Hesitancy and Strategies to Address It". I implement theories from social science regarding individual's decision to vaccination, apply suitable formal mathematical equations regarding the decision model, and simulate the individual decision to collective vaccination by using evolutionary game and social networks models. Prior of my study, I did several consultancy works in WHO, UNICEF, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria, and Indonesian government. During my study, I did a consultancy work for UK Health Service Agency (UKHSA) along with my D.Phil. supervisor. I am also a lecturer (on study leave) from Medical Faculty of Universitas Hasanuddin in Indonesia and was trained as Medical Doctor (MD).
