Qian Wang is a master’s student in public health and will commence her PhD at the School of Public Health, Fudan University in late 2026. Her research focuses on developing and evaluating interventions to address vaccine hesitancy using randomised controlled trials (RCTs). She has led two projects in this area. Her master’s thesis evaluated the effectiveness of digital messaging nudges in reducing influenza vaccine hesitancy among parents of children aged 6 to 35 months, with findings published as an independent first-author paper: A Cluster Randomized Trial of Digital Messaging Nudges to Improve Influenza Vaccination Uptake in China (NPJ Digital Medicine, 2025). Another study applied nudge theory and motivational interviewing to improve influenza vaccination uptake among healthcare workers in community health centres across three cities in China; the study protocol has been published in Trials.
