Pavneet Kaur (郭希年)

Pavneet Kaur is a registered nurse from Hong Kong and a master of public health (epidemiology, global health) candidate at the University of Toronto. Her work sits at the intersection of infectious disease, applied epidemiology, data governance, and public health journalism, with a strong commitment to decolonial and community-driven approaches in global health. She is currently working with the Chiefs of Ontario, supporting data analysis and evidence-informed planning for remote and northern communities, and with the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), using a One Health approach to assess the importation risk of zoonotic diseases. She is also a fellow at Geneva Health Files, reporting on the latest updates in global health. Pavneet brings expertise in epidemiological analysis, risk assessment, disease modelling, and ethical data systems to advance responsible, high-value health system innovation.
