Jinjin Zhang is a PhD student in Bioinformatics with research interests in phylogenetics, molecular epidemiology, and computational genomics. Her work focuses on viral evolution, genomic surveillance, and sequence-based modelling of infectious diseases, particularly influenza viruses. She is interested in applying bioinformatics and deep learning approaches to understand pathogen evolution, transmission dynamics, and emerging variants for public health and outbreak preparedness.
