Carmen Xu is currently a PhD student in cancer epidemiology at University of Hong Kong. Before joining HKU, she worked as a health insurance actuary, developing innovative healthcare products for populations with pre-existing conditions. This industry experience led her to realise the critical need for healthcare planning for cancer and ageing populations. Equipped with a foundation in statistics, she is now dedicated to delving deeper into the field.
