Wanli Liu

Wanli Liu is a tenured professor and PhD supervisor at the School of Life Sciences, Tsinghua University, and a researcher at the Institute of Immunology and the Center for Life Sciences. He is a principal investigator, a Distinguished Young Scholar of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a Distinguished Professor of the Ministry of Education, and a Youth Science and Technology Innovation Leader of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

His research focuses on B lymphocyte biology, with emphasis on immune recognition, activation mechanisms, and related autoimmune diseases. He integrates interdisciplinary approaches to uncover novel pathways in lipid metabolism, mechanical force sensing, and antigen receptor signalling in B cells. His work has been published in top journals including Science, Cell, J Exp Med, and Nature Communications. He has received multiple prestigious awards, including the China Youth Science and Technology Award.
