Peter Geng (耿磊落)
University of Hong Kong
The rising prevalence of obesity and its associated comorbidities has emerged as a significant global public health challenge. Peter Geng research primarily investigates the immunometabolic mechanisms underlying diabetic and cardiovascular diseases, encompassing both molecular studies and clinical investigations. Their work aims to facilitate the identification of novel biomarkers and the development of innovative therapeutic interventions. Currently, they have established multiple cohorts involving individuals with rare forms of autoimmune diabetes induced by insulin therapy or immune checkpoint inhibitors. Their ongoing efforts are directed toward elucidating diagnostic markers, risk factors, and potential therapeutic targets within these populations.
