Chinese University of Hong Kong
Zeyu Shi is a biomedical researcher trained in cancer biology. She received her PhD in biomedical sciences from The University of Hong Kong, where she studied how hypoxic tumour microenvironments promote cancer stemness and aggressiveness. Her current research focuses on how chronic inflammatory lung microenvironments drive early cancer initiation, particularly during COPD-to-squamous cell carcinoma transition. Using human airway organoids, immune-cell co-culture, and single-cell approaches, she aims to develop immune-informed strategies for early cancer interception and precision prevention.
