Chengrui Cao (曹成锐)
Tsinghua University
Chengrui Cao is a PhD candidate at the Institute for Immunology, Tsinghua University, under the supervision of Professor Wenwen Zeng. His current research focuses on investigating a neuro-immune axis driving pancreatic cancer progression, with a particular interest in integrating neuroscience and immunology to elucidate mechanisms underlying tumour initiation, progression, and tumour microenvironment remodelling. By combining fundamental immunology, multi-omics approaches, and clinically relevant data, his work aims to identify novel immune targets and facilitate the translation of basic discoveries into precision immunotherapies. He is especially interested in how interactions between the nervous and immune systems shape disease progression and therapeutic responses. Through this summer course, he hopes to broaden his understanding of translational immunology and gain insights into emerging strategies for next-generation diagnostics and immunotherapies.
