Molly Li
Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Physics, Hong Kong Polytechnic University

Molly Li is an assistant professor at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her research expertise is centered on X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy (XAS) and its application in studying the electronic and local coordination structures of advanced materials. She is highly skilled in advanced data treatment for XAS, including the use of Wavelet and Fourier transforms to extract detailed structural information19. As a member of the organising committee, she plays a central role in training the next generation of researchers. During the 2026 SR Summer Course, she will lead tutorials on XAS data processing and provide guidance on how to successfully access and utilise synchrotron facilities worldwide.
