Lin Cong
Research Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Biology and Chemical Technology, Hong Kong Polytechnic University

Lin Cong serves as a research assistant professor at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. An expert in crystallography, his research focuses on the fundamental aspects of X-ray scattering and diffraction. Cong has extensive experience in applying these techniques to characterise the atomic and molecular structures of advanced functional materials. At the 2026 SR Summer Course, Cong will lead sessions on the fundamentals of X-ray scattering and diffraction, providing participants with the essential theoretical framework required to interpret complex structural data. His academic contributions are vital to the growing community of synchrotron users in the Greater Bay Area.
