Junliang Sun is a professor at Peking University and a recognised authority on crystallography and structure determination. His research is at the forefront of developing new methods in electron crystallography and X-ray diffraction to solve the structures of complex inorganic and porous materials, such as zeolites and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). He is recognised for his ability to determine atomic-level structures from micro- and nano-sized crystals. During the summer school, Sun will deliver lectures on powder and single-crystal X-ray diffraction, as well as electron crystallography, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of structural determination.
