Dr Julia Parker is a senior beamline scientist at Diamond Light Source, where she specialises in hard X-ray nanoprobe techniques. Her research involves using nanoscale microscopy to investigate the chemical and structural properties of materials with unprecedented spatial resolution. She has extensive experience in applying synchrotron radiation to study complex systems in chemistry and materials engineering. In the 2026 SR Summer Course, she will lecture on the capabilities of hard X-ray nanoprobes, providing participants with a deep dive into nanoscale microscopy and its power to reveal the inner structures of advanced functional materials.
