Dr Anna Herlihy is a beamline scientist at Diamond Light Source, working on the I15-1 X-ray Pair Distribution Function (XPDF) beamline. Her expertise lies in high-energy X-ray scattering and the application of total scattering methods to investigate the atomic-scale structure of functional materials. She is highly experienced in conducting complex synchrotron measurements and managing the technical requirements of high-throughput data collection. For this summer course, she will introduce the principles of SR X-ray Pair Distribution Function and demonstrate practical measurement techniques at modern synchrotron facilities.
