Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Jing Ling is a second-year PhD student in the Department of Applied Biology and Chemical Technology at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her research focuses on metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for gas adsorption and separation, with particular interest in understanding the interactions between guest molecules and framework structures. Specifically, she studies the adsorption and separation of carbon dioxide, as well as the separation of ethylene/ethane and propylene/propane mixtures. In addition, the separation of C6 isomers is another important area of her research. More importantly, she uses X-ray diffraction (XRD) refinement to conduct detailed analyses of the binding sites of gas molecules within MOF structures, which helps explain their adsorption and separation properties.
