Jianping Dong is a master’s student in the integrated Master’s–PhD program at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Wuhan University of Technology, under the supervision of Professor Ji Zou. Since entering the program in 2024, he has been engaged in research on advanced ceramic materials and received the 2025 National Scholarship. His research centres on structure–function integrated boride materials, with particular interest in the compositional design, synthesis science, and application-oriented fundamental studies of high-entropy boride advanced ceramics. He also works on cross-cutting scientific issues related to the preparation, characterisation, microstructure regulation, and in-service performance of advanced structural ceramics for high-end alloy manufacturing and iron and steel metallurgy.
