Pui Wah Kong
Associate Dean and Associate Professor, Nanyang Technological University

Pui Wah Kong is the Associate Dean for Continuing Education and Training at Singapore’s National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University. She is also an associate professor at the Physical Education and Sports Science Department. She teaches graduate, undergraduate and teacher-preparation courses in sports biomechanics, received several teaching and mentoring awards from the university and the Ministry of Education.

Her research interests include sports and clinical biomechanics, with applications in human performance and musculoskeletal health. She had led projects on high-performance sports, footwear, low back pain, sports injuries, rehabilitation and exoskeleton. She conducted laboratory experiments and field tests on well-trained athletes, school children, older adults, firefighters, paramedics, military personnel, and patients with various musculoskeletal health conditions.

In 2020, she was the recipient of the Fellow of International Society of Biomechanics in Sports (FISBS). She is currently an associate editor for Sports Biomechanics, European Journal of Sport Science, and Journal of Mechanics in Medicine and Biology. She also serves on the editorial board for Research in Sports Medicine, Journal of Exercise Science and Fitness, Sports Engineering, and World Scientific Annual Review of Biomechanics.
