The Education University of Hong Kong
Yu Hin Kong is a PhD student at The Education University of Hong Kong, affiliated with the Department of Health and Physical Education. His research interests span talent identification, foundational movement skills, with a dedicated focus on their application within sports biomechanics and elite sports performance. Drawing from his experience in the Scientific Assessment team at the Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI) and his role as a Co-Investigator for a funded project profiling elite orienteers, KONG has identified a critical need to move beyond traditional fitness testing. He is driven to study motion capture and force production specifically within open environments. As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and first author of a systematic review on movement skills among Chinese youth, he aims to leverage on-field motion analysis and joint stability measures to bridge the gap between laboratory data and dynamic athletic training.
