Shanghai University of Sport
Yiyan Liu is a master's student in Rehabilitation Therapy at Shanghai University of Sport, with a excellent academic record (GPA 3.72/4.0). Prior to postgraduate studies, she worked for five years as a full-time lecturer at a private undergraduate college in Yunnan Province. The research of her team focuses on mechanisms of sports-related injuries and evidence-based rehabilitation, with current work centring on return-to-sport assessment and reinjury risk screening following anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. Methodological expertise includes 3D motion capture and functional MRI to investigate biomechanical and neuroplastic alterations post-injury. This original research is currently in the data collection and implementation stage, and a first-author manuscript is under review examining the associations between hop testing performance and the likelihood of returning to sport versus reinjury risk. These diverse experiences in education, clinical practice, and research collectively inform her long-term goal of advancing evidence-based rehabilitation strategies for athletic populations.
