Helios Chiu (趙靖行)
University of Oxford
Helios Chiu is currently reading for a DPhil in Musculoskeletal Sciences at the University of Oxford. He attained his BSc in Physics with Medical Physics at University College London (UCL), graduating with first-class honours and Dean’s List recognition. His research primarily focuses on long-term treatment outcomes in children with idiopathic toe walking (ITW). This work involves investigating the biomechanical and motor control mechanisms underlying this gait pattern using clinical gait analysis, including multi-segment modelling approaches. His research also involves developing machine learning frameworks that integrate quantitative gait analysis with clinical assessments to support evidence-based treatment decision-making. In addition to his research, he serves as the Lead Tutor for B17 Biomechanics in the Department of Engineering at Oxford.
