Gahyun Kim, also known as “Quantum Gahyun” someone who transforms energy into light. With a background in Mechatronics Engineering and five years of experience managing government-funded R&D projects in the automotive industry, she recently shifted my focus to baseball biomechanics. Under Professor Kikwang Lee, I have gained hands-on experience measuring the physical and biomechanical performance of high school baseball players across Korea using advanced laboratory systems. As my father, a respected amateur baseball coach in Korea, prepares for retirement, I chose to study biomechanics to support the next chapter of his legacy and contribute to the scientific development of the sport. My goal is to bridge traditional coaching—rooted in intuition and experience—with evidence-based sports science. I hope to integrate observational wisdom with data-driven analysis to create a more effective training framework.
