Zicong Chen (陳子聰)
Macau University of Science and Technology
My name is Chen Zicong, a PhD student in Environmental Engineering at Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST). My research focuses on the formation and transformation mechanisms of environmental minerals, particularly iron oxides, which are vital to biogeochemical cycles, contaminant immobilization, and environmental remediation. To uncover atomic-scale structural and dynamic processes behind mineral morphology, I apply neutron scattering techniques. This approach supports my broader aim of developing sustainable environmental strategies, including pollutant sequestration and resource recovery. Learning advanced neutron methods is essential to expanding my research and driving innovation in environmental mineral science.
