Xu Wei (徐威)
Shanghai Jiao Tong University
I am Wei Xu, a second-year Ph.D. student in Physics at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, under the supervision of Professor Jie Ma. My research focuses on quantum magnetism in frustrated materials, explored through neutron scattering techniques. The investigation of spinel compounds MnCr2O4 and CoCr2O4 has revealed the underlying mechanisms of competing interactions in these systems. Additionally, studies on the quantum spin-liquid candidate Na2Co2TeO6, utilizing neutron scattering and muon spin relaxation (μSR) experiments, have provided insights into the origins of its low-temperature disordered state. My research has been published at "J. Jiao, et al., Communications Materials, 2024, 5, 159" and "W. Xu, et al., Chinese Physics Letters, 2024, 41, 117503". Participating in this summer school would deepen my understanding of neutron techniques and help advance my ongoing research. Thank you very much for considering my application.
