Mengjiang Lin (林梦江)
University of Oxford
I am a PhD student in the Department of Materials at the University of Oxford, working under the supervision of Professor Sir Peter Bruce, and funded by the EPSRC iCASE studentship. Previously, I completed a Master of Chemistry in Chemistry at the University of Oxford. My research focuses on interfacial degradation and ionic transport in next-generation lithium ion and all solid-state batteries. While I currently employ synchrotron X-ray and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, I am actively developing collaborations involving neutron scattering with ISIS Neutron and Muon Source and PSI (Paul Scherrer Institute). I am particularly interested in applying neutron techniques to investigate ion-transport, structural phase transitions, and lattice dynamics in solid-state electrolytes and Li-ion battery cathode materials. Attending the Neutron School will strengthen my theoretical and practical foundation in neutron methods, and directly support my ongoing efforts to integrate neutron-based experiments into multi-modal characterisation workflows for energy materials.
