Yaoyu earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 2023 and a Master of Science in Financial Engineering in 2024 from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Information Engineering at CUHK, Shenzhen. His research focuses on information theory, discrete mathematics, and their applications in DNA-based data storage. He has presented joint research with his supervisor, Professor Chen Zitan, at ISIT 2024, with the work published in Entropy in January 2025.
