Ritesh Kumar

Ritesh is a PhD student in Communication and Signal Processing at the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, supervised by Dr Shashank Vatedka. He holds an MTech from IIT Patna and a BTech from SBSSTC Ferozepur. His research focuses on communication-efficient distributed inference, federated learning, and privacy-preserving techniques, with a particular emphasis on quantisation under tight communication constraints. He has published in venues like AISTATS and NCC, earning the Best Paper Award in 2023. A participant in the JENESYS 2023 India-Japan Exchange Programme, Ritesh had also served as a teaching assistant for several core and advanced courses.
