Yilin Su (蘇一琳)
Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
I am currently an undergraduate student, majoring in mathematics at HKUST. I have been participating in the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program at HKUST, utilising mathematics to understand the real world. In Year 1, I studied the wave phenomenon, which is the underlying concept behind the Korteweg-De Vries equation. In Year 2, I investigated the time-dependent nature of charge transfer dynamics in photosystem II. In Year 3, I studied stochastic process in finance using the Black-Scholes equation. I am now passionate in learning about computational neuroscience, and hoping to pursue research postgraduate degree in this field. This summer course will provide me an opportunity to dive into the field of computational neuroscience.
