Jegadishwar Ananda Natarajan
City University of Hong Kong
A recent graduate in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Hong Kong, I am driven by the integration of computation with biological research. As a research assistant at City University of Hong Kong, I optimise biogas production and microbial community dynamics using machine learning, bioinformatics, and bioreactor experiments, employing tools like mothur-based 16S rRNA analysis, Neo4j graph databases, and genomic data integration. Proficient in Python, R, bioinformatics platforms, and molecular biology techniques, I also mentor undergraduate teams in synthetic biology projects through HKU iGEM, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. My work thrives at the nexus of computational modelling and life sciences, bridging technical rigor with biological insight. By attending the Computational Neuroscience course, I aim to expand my expertise into neural systems and gain insights from innovative analytical frameworks, enhancing my ability to address complex biological challenges through novel computational paradigms.
