Guanyi Zhao (赵贯一)
Southern University of Science and Technology
Guanyi Zhao is a first-year master's student at Southern University of Science and Technology. His research focuses on closed-loop neuromodulation, with particular interest in control methods for data-driven models and modeling neural plasticity under long-term stimulation. In his current work, he proposed a surrogate model-guided neurostimulation framework to manipulate neural dynamics through control theory. This framework has been experimentally validated on neuron-organoids. He is eager to explore computational modeling of the brain and aims to gain theoretical insights into neural computation, especially those that can inform the modeling of long-term plasticity. Through the summer school, he hopes to strengthen his foundations in computational neuroscience and prepare for more advanced research on adaptive neuromodulation.
