Yu Hu
Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology

Yu Hu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Division of Life Science at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He obtained his doctoral degree in Applied Mathematics from University of Washington in 2014 and did postdoctoral research at Harvard University and Hebrew University before joining HKUST in 2018. His research interest is developing theoretical approaches to characterise the relation between dynamics and connectivity in neural circuits and using modelling to gain insights into circuit mechanisms from experimental data such as large-scale neural activity recordings.
