Prof. Suchard is a Professor of biomathematics. He is a world-class expert on Bayesian statistics for phylogenetics and population genetics. He has developed a number of important statistical methods that enable insightful genomic analysis for the virus evolution and transmission dynamics. He has published 173 papers, with >20,000 citations and 53 H-index. He has made significant contribution to the Bayesian statistical research in genetics, and received the prestigious COPSS Presidents' Award.
